I should be exercising, cleaning, sleeping or really anything other than this

In lieu of being productive or doing the smart thing and going to bed, I have chosen to post pictures from this past weekend. We did what all idiot midwesterners do when the temperature cracks 30 and went to the zoo. We saw some of the indoor exhibits that we don't usually visit during our 3 week summer. We also spent an eternity in the play zoo where David insited on sweeping the toddler toy area for about 20 minutes. He also misted the plants in the greenhouse and pretended to be the zoo director.

Sunday we attended our friend Eli's 2nd birthday party. David had much fun playing with his friends, especially Evie (pictured below coloring with Maya and Nick).

In other David news, he can do a cartwheel. I'm not even kidding. Legs straight up in the air over his head cartwheel. His landings could use considerable work, but it's still pretty sweet. I'll try to get some video this week. He was so proud of himself that he even showed Coach Mandy today at gymnastics class. She seemed genuinely impressed, or at least that's what I thought in my extremely biased opinion. Surely this can only mean he's headed to the Olympics in 2028.

You guys are clearly holding him back. If he'd stayed in China he could've been in the Olympics in 2020.
