David's birthday: month 4 of 6

Here are a few pictures from the last week or so. David and Alma went to the zoo. Alma painted his face like a kitty, and he spent the next 48 hours refusing to have his face washed.
Last weekend I went to visit Aimee in Atlanta, leaving Kevin and David to fend for themselves. They had a great time. The third picture below is from their trip to the Museum of Science and Industry. Kevin was very pleased that David broke out of his farm equipment/model train rut and checked out the submarine and a few other exhibits.

I made it back last Sunday in time for the family February/March birthday party. We're coming to the home stretch of David's 6 months of birthday which began with early Christmas gifts and October and extends through Gotcha Day in a few weeks. David loved all his presents. Highlights included the firetruck card that he gave to himself (and a second copy to Uncle Dave--Kevin was lucky to leave the store with only two of them David loved it so much), his new Blackhawks shirt and Chutes and Ladders which he played with great aunt Barb.

Tomorrow David and I are looking forward to Mandarin class followed immediately by some ACC basketball. He is currently sleeping in his Duke shirt for luck.

I don't know if he wore his Gamecock shirt yesterday, but even if he did, we needed more good luck than that. Oh well, like every good Gamecock fan says every year, "WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!"

Since we don't have to worry about the GC's anymore this season, Mom and I will be pulling for Duke and NC State until they either lose or end up playing each other. Then we will have to remain neutral and let the chips fall where they may.

Love,
Dad
