There's a new blog in town

We're moving the blog to a new and easy to remember address.  Come check us out at www.themaases.com.  We're hoping to move all the old content over to the new site.  And by we're hoping to move all the old content, I mean we're hoping our friend Micha, who was kind enough to help us get the new blog started in order to bypass China's firewall, will move it for us.  Until then, I have a link to the old blog on the new site.  So put www.themaases.com in your "Favorites" and get ready to follow us to China in less than 2 weeks!

Is there any software that can read out subtitles from a file in an synth voice (ie MS Anna)?

Would be cool if the Haali media splitter had a "verbose subtitles to external application" function that sent the currently playing subtitle text to an application for reading.

If there isn't is anyone willing to help develop such an application?

I have a 7.94 GB MKV movie that I would like to burn as a Bluray. But after demuxing and using ImgBurn I end up with 9 GB of files that won't fit onto a dual layer. Is there some way to reduce the file slightly in the process without drasticlly reducing the quality? And also without jumping through many hoops as I don't have that many programs and don't always understand all the technical talk.

I tried ConvertX2DVD, which is a great program, but you loose the HD quality building the VOB files. Thanks
